Jose
I. Mendiola Aurora's President and Chief Operating Officer was born
in 1971. Mr. Mendiola joined the Company in 1995, after having spent
almost three
years in automobile sales for a south Florida dealer. He had served
in the Company’s Flamingo Financing operation as a Branch Manager,
then as an Assistant District
Manager and Chief Operating Officer. In 1999, Mr. Mendiola was promoted
to Vice President in Aurora Capital and headed the Company’s Human
Resources and Business Development Departments. In 2001, Mr. Mendiola
named
Chief
Operating
Officer of the Company’s Car Plaza operation, and in 2004 became Chief
Operating Officer of the Aurora Capital, Inc. and all of its subsidiaries.
Mr. Mendiola holds a B.A. Degree from the University
of Central Florida and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of FIADA (Florida Independent Automobile
Dealers Association.)
